Malaysian AIDS Foundation Gala Dinner

A GALA DINNER will be held at the Renaissance Hotel, Kuala Lumpur, to coincide with the 2nd International CSR Conference in August 2009. Guests will enjoy a five-star dinner and drinks, with a star-studded evening's entertainment provided by the Malaysian jazz singer, Atilia Haron and other local celebrities.

All profits from this event will be donated to the Malaysian AIDS Foundation to support programmes and initiatives on HIV/AIDS awareness, prevention and treatment.

Andrew Sebastian, Head of Communications, Malaysian Nature Society

Andrew J. Sebastian is currently the Head of Communications of MNS. A Law graduate, joined the society 11 years ago after a short stint with a legal firm in Petaling Jaya. His involvement in started at an early age, having spent 18 years growing up at the Forest Research Institute Malaysia (FRIM) where his father worked for the Forestry Department.

Andrew went on to join the Society as a volunteer at the age of 14 yrs old. Today, he serves the Society in the full time capacity that involves practical and grass roots projects such as Conservation Campaigns to protect Bukit Larut, Tanjung Tuan, Bukit Gasing, Pulau Redang, Cameron Highlands and Sg. Buloh Forest Reserve. He also assists with Climate Change issues, Local Community Empowerment projects, developing fundraising, CSR and corporate partnerships as well as coordinates the media on behalf of MNS.

In term of Climate Change, Andrew, until recently, has been representing MNS on the Climate Action Network and attending the Conferences of Parties - United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change UNFCCC for the past 5 years.
