Graham Sinclair is an ESG architect and investment strategist, advising on the integration of sustainability (environmental, social and governance) factors into institutional investment. His consulting engagements in 2008 include developing new financing mechanisms for an international organization funded by the Gates Foundation, architecture for a Wall Street money manager with over US$ 1 trillion in global assets, leading the Principles for Responsible Investment in Emerging Markets Project for UN Environment Programme Finance Initiative, and advising Alphamundi, a next generation sustainability fund in Switzerland. Before launching his eponymous investment advisory boutique, Sinclair & Company , in 2006, Graham was Product Manager at KLD Research & Analytics in Boston covering investment research and managing the Business Ethics 100 index. Through 2002 Graham worked in pensions consulting and investment management for Alexander Forbes Consultants & Actuaries, Old Mutual, and Nedcor Investment Bank, culminating as head of strategic marketing for SEI Investments in Johannesburg. In 2007, Graham was recruited to the inaugural WWF One Planet Leaders leadership program in Switzerland, and contributed to the Social Investment Forum 2007 Trends Report. He is a Fellow of the Environmental Leadership Program (USA) and professional contributor to the CSR Initiative of the Harvard Kennedy School. He has lectured around the world on sustainability in investment strategies and is an Adjunct Professor, Kenan-Flagler Business School, University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill, a top ten US business school focused on sustainability themes. Graham has graduate degrees in law and business, and resides in the US, Switzerland and his native South Africa enjoying cycling, sailing and the finest chocolate.
