Malaysian AIDS Foundation Gala Dinner
A GALA DINNER will be held at the Renaissance Hotel, Kuala Lumpur, to coincide with the 2nd International CSR Conference in August 2009. Guests will enjoy a five-star dinner and drinks, with a star-studded evening's entertainment provided by the Malaysian jazz singer, Atilia Haron and other local celebrities.

All profits from this event will be donated to the Malaysian AIDS Foundation to support programmes and initiatives on HIV/AIDS awareness, prevention and treatment.

Marcel De BruijckereMarcel de Bruijckere, Chief Executive Officer Fortis Investment Management Singapore Limited and Head of Institutional Sales South & Southeast Asia, holds a Master’s degree in Business Econometrics (specialisation in Finance & Investments) from the Erasmus University Rotterdam in the Netherlands. Since July 2007, Marcel has been CEO Singapore, a role he originally combined with his role as Regional Head of Multi Asset Solutions Asia Pacific within ABN AMRO Asset Management in Hong Kong since November 2004. In addition to his CEO Singapore role and his role as Head of Institutional Clients South & Southeast Asia, Marcel retained the role of Investment Specialist Asia for Solutions with a focus on Structured Solutions until the end of 2008 and continues to be involved in a number of projects in this area in the region. Marcel started his career as investment professional in 1990 as Portfolio Manager in the Fixed Income Department, when he joined ABN AMRO Asset Management (AAAM) as management trainee in Investment Banking & Global Clients. In 1994 he was appointed Senior Product Developer in which role he was (co-)project manager of a number of successful introductions of Luxembourg- and Netherlands-domiciled investment funds. In 1997 Marcel became Chief Executive of AAAM (Singapore) Ltd, setting up and managing the Singapore unit, active in institutional client management, (at the time) private clients portfolio management, Asian fixed income management and management & distribution of investment funds. From ‘00 until ‘02 Marcel was responsible for institutional sales for Antonveneta ABN AMRO SGR SpA, the asset management joint venture between the Antonveneta Group and ABN AMRO in Milan. From ’02-’04 Marcel worked in the Institutional Services Global department as WCS Relationship Head for ABN AMRO Asset Management working with the Wholesale Clients Unit of ABN AMRO to capitalise on asset management opportunities with their clients.
