Mu-Shin KimMr. Mu-Shin Kim is an investment officer of Asian Development Bank (ADB) where his primary role is private equity funds operation. He leads new funds investment across Asia, and monitors the funds portfolio of ADB. Mr. Kim serves as a board member and an investment committee member in a number of private equity funds. He designed a clean energy call for ADB in 2007, and invested $100 million in five private equity funds through a call for proposals process. Working with UNEP, he manages the SCAF (Seed Capital Assistance Facility) to develop and support clean energy projects across Asia. He is working on a project to set up a Shari’ah compliant infrastructure fund. After the military service of 3 years in Korea, Mr. Kim began his career in 1993 at Hanwha Conglomerate for its energy business development overseas such as Kazakhstan and Georgia Republic. He was Director to manage Hanwha Georgia Petroleum Joint Stock Company in Georgia for two years since 1997.  In 1999, he succeeded an M&A transaction selling 50% ownership of the largest independent power producer in Korea, and led the post merger management with El Paso Corporation out of the US.  After joining the El Paso Singapore Holdings Ltd. in 2001, he managed a number of M&A deals in the power and natural gas industries in Korea and Japan. 

Mr. Kim holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Sogang University in Korea and an MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth in the USA.
